THE TRIAL

To provide the best idea of your dream bridal look, start collecting images of makeup looks that you can really see yourself wearing and most importantly, feel like you. My ethos is to enhance your natural beauty for a polished and refined look, to make you feel like the best version of you. Together we will go through your collected images to discuss which options would work best. I always advise that a bridal trial is not the time to try a totally different makeup look that you never usually wear, so stick to aspects that make you feel confident and beautiful. I would recommend taking a look on social media for inspiration. My favourite platform of choice is Instagram as it there is a wider range of authentic and “real” looking makeup on here.

If you are planning on having a spray tan for your big day, try tanning 1-2 days before your trial to ensure there is no transferring. Make sure you follow your beautician’s advice with the correct skin prep to get the most of your spray tan and have the best results. Having a spray tan in preparation for your trial will give you a better idea of how makeup colours will look on you and will also help you decide whether you would like to opt for a spray tan on your big day. Being gorgeously bronzed can compliment your look, but it is important that you do what feels most like you.

Similarly with your hair, if you are able to arrange your hair trial to be on the same day as your makeup trial it will help give you a clearer idea of what the final look will be like. It is advisable to wear white or blush to your bridal trial (dependent on the colour of your wedding dress) with a similar neckline to your dress so that you can envision how your makeup will look on the day.

I kindly ask for you to please arrive to your appointment with no makeup on and exfoliate the night before. You will be able to see throughout the entirety of your trial (no surprises along the way here!) to ensure you are happy with every element and together we will create your dream bridal look step by step. If you have any specific makeup or skincare products that you would love for me to use, please bring them along with you. I would be happy to use any of your favourites so that you don't feel completely out of your comfort zone. After your trial, pictures will be taken and a full product list will be assigned to your wedding file. Please ask if there are any products I have used that you would like to purchase yourself.

If you have a clear idea of how you want your bridal makeup to look in your head, I advise attending your appointment alone. However, if you find making decisions a little difficult and would feel more comfortable bringing someone along, it is advisable to choose a close family member or friend whose opinion you really value and who knows you best. Keeping this to just one person will help you make decisions you are happy with, without feeling overwhelmed by too many opinions.

If you feel there were any changes that could have been made to your final makeup look, please do not hesitate to contact me and I can update the changes in your file. I kindly ask that if there are any more than 4 major changes (i.e different eye makeup, change of foundation or coverage, skin finish etc) to the agreed look from the trial, to rearrange for another trial. This is so that we can ensure we are both prepared for your big day.

THE BIG DAY

If your venue's prep room  has a time restriction, please make me aware so that we can advise on how many bridal party members we are able to accommodate.

On the day of your wedding, sit back and relax! You have done all of the hard work, now is the time to leave the last few final ties up to the professional. Prior to this day,  we will have created a time schedule for the morning together to ensure everything runs smoothly so that you are reassured and can enjoy a glass of bubbles

If I am visiting your home address, I kindly ask that a large table area is cleared and preferably with some access to natural daylight (although not a necessity as we will have a professional light with us).
